Does every CCAD patient automatically have access to the Patient Portal?
All patients over 18 are eligible to register. Registration is voluntary but strongly encouraged — it gives you access to the full digital care experience, including all Vertex Automations AI-powered features.
Can I book appointments using the Patient Portal?
Yes. With Vertex Automations active, your appointment slots are AI-curated based on your clinical risk profile, queue load, and bed pipeline — ensuring you are seen at the right time by a fully prepared team.
Can I check in for my appointment via the portal?
Yes. eCheck-In can be completed up to 30 minutes before your appointment. Vertex also activates geofence auto-check-in — so your check-in completes the moment your car enters the CCAD car park.
Can I access my medical records?
Yes. Your full medical record — including test results, medication history, and condition notes — is synced from the Epic EHR system and available in the portal within hours of being updated.
